Trump’s Take On The UN Is Hilariously Correct

President Donald Trump, no stranger to partying himself, know a good party when he sees one, and also knows when partying isn’t the order of the day.

On Monday, Trump laced into the cesspool that is the United Nations, after that body passed a vicious anti-Israel resolution on Friday.

Trump, in his inimitable way, is absolutely correct. Here some reasons why:

  1. As reported by The Wall Street Journal in September 2014: “Diplomatic officials from more than 180 countries owe New York City over $16 million in unpaid parking tickets, demonstrating the challenge of collecting on violations more than a decade old.”
  2. The Foundation for Defense of Democracies pointed out in 2013, “The UN does not issue clear reports to donor nations on how their money is spent. That includes the United States, the U.N.’s biggest donor, which bankrolls roughly 25% of the U.N.’s soaring system-wide spending. In Fiscal 2010 (the last year for which the U.S. administration has provided any total figures), U.S. taxpayers contributed more than $7.7 billion to an incoherent U.N. system-wide budget, which by some estimates has continued to expand to well over $30 billion per year.”
  3. Fox News reported in July that the United Nations, when it was investigated by its own Joint Inspection Unit, was found to ignore fraud. The report found there was a “state of near denial” among some U.N. organizations about their goods, money and services being stolen; and a “perceived sense of impunity for fraud perpetrators.” As Fox wrote, “According to the inspectors, the U.N. finds fraud in the range of only 0.03 percent of its annual revenues. Average estimates of fraud in the public and private sector, the report says, normally run in the range of 1 percent to 5 percent of total revenue – or 33 to 165 times higher.”
  4. As PJ Media noted, the united Nations UNRWA’s funds help to train terrorists for ISIS: “Kids as young as seven are calling for the killing of Jews and are pledging their allegiance to ISIS in schools run by the UN. The documentary ‘The UNRWA Road to Terror: Palestinian Classroom Incitement,’ shows a clip of a Palestinian child who is a 13-year-old student at one of the schools run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency chanting ‘With Allah’s help I will fight for ISIS, the Islamic State.’”

“The U.N. General Assembly’s 2015 session is adopting 20 resolutions singling out Israel for criticism — and only 3 resolutions on the rest of the world combined.”

UN Watch

Of course, the UN always has plenty of time to condemn Israel, the only liberal democracy in the Middle east while ignoring the systemic horrifying violence and abuse elsewhere. As UN Watch reported in November 2015: “The U.N. General Assembly’s 2015 session is adopting 20 resolutions singling out Israel for criticism — and only 3 resolutions on the rest of the world combined. All but one of the texts have already been adopted by the plenary yesterday, or have been approved at the initial committee vote . . . Not a single UNGA resolution this year (70th session) is expected to be adopted on gross and systematic abuses committed by China, Cuba, Egypt, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Yemen, Zimbabwe, or on dozens of other perpetrators of gross and systematic human rights violations.”
