Michelle Obama has America’s distrust of politics all figured out: it’s because the Republican Party is full of white men.
Speaking at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women Tuesday, the wife of arguably the most polarizing, divisive president in history said, “We should be working actively to mix it up, so we’re getting a real broad range of perspectives on every issue.”
Profiling Washington’s binary political system, Obama was clear on her attitude toward Republicans:
“At the State of the Union address…when you are in the room what you can see is this real dichotomy. It’s a feeling of color almost. On one side of the room is literally gray and white. Literally, that is the color palette on one side of the room. On the other side of the room, there are yellows and blues and whites and greens. Physically, there’s a difference in color, in the tone, because on one side all men, all white, on the other side some woman, some people of color.”
The former First Lady appeared oblivious to the contradiction of touting broad perspectives while judging people solely according to race.
“I look at that, and I go, ‘No wonder. No wonder we struggle, no wonder people don’t trust politics. We’re not even noticing what these rooms look like,’” she explained. “It’s hard to come up with the right answer [to the problems of minorities] when you haven’t lived it.”
According to Obama, if you’re white, then you can’t solve problems for minorities. Typical of leftists, for Michelle Obama, everything is about race; everything is viewed through that prism. Can someone solve a problem? It depends on their race. What’s the best side of the political aisle? It depends on what races comprise it.
Taking a stab at Donald Trump—while at the same time raising her husband to grandiose heights—the Harvard Law School graduate lamented, “Many of the young people today, they only know Barack Obama as their president and what that standard felt like and what kind of messages were being talked about…They grew up only under hope…I think they will feel some of what’s happening now as intrinsically not what they were taught.”
Does she mean the message of white people being racist? Is that the “hope” she’s alluding to?
Do you remember the Barack Obama years as a time when we all lived “only under hope?” I don’t; but I also don’t remember the yellow, blue, or green Democrats. I do, however, recall a President of the United States who constantly used race as a separator. As a reason for us not to be “united.” It seems he married someone of like mind.
