Strictly Come Dancing’s Dianne Buswell has been rushed to hospital after she fell 8ft onto her head.

The professional dancer, 30, was taken to A&E after her partner Dev Griffin lost his grip on her while they performed a complicated lift, reports The Sun.

A source revealed to MailOnline that Dianne is ‘absolutely fine’ after the horror fall and is expected to take to the floor on Saturday.

A source told The Sun: ‘Dev let her slip from his grasp and Dianne fell and landed on her head. It couldn’t have been worse.’

Following the accident, it is said that Radio 1 DJ Dev, 34, was ‘doubled over in panic’ as his partner lay dazed.

The incident occurred as Dev rotated the red head about his head for a lift as the duo prepared to dance the Couples’ Choice – Friend Like Me by Will Smith from Aladdin.

The insider continued: ‘It was horrible to watch Dianne lying prostrate on the floor.’

It is said that after she fell, BBC staff came rushing to her aid in the rehearsal room after fearing she had suffered a concussion.

The flame-haired beauty was left groggy following the slip, with bosses quickly taking her to the hospital. 

Reports state that though Dianne carefully picked herself up from then fall, witnesses claim that it was clear she wasn’t ‘quite right’. 

Dianne made a swift recovery from the horror fall, with the dancer taking to Instagram on Friday to share her excitement about Saturday’s Movie Week show.

Taking a tumble: A source told the publication: ‘Dev let her slip from his grasp and Dianne fell and landed on her head. It couldn’t have been worse’

However, Dev was reportedly beating himself up over the incident, of which he ‘felt 100 percent responsible’.

The source said: ‘He was praying that there was no serious damage — the worst case scenario was that she had some internal head injuries.’  

They added that Dianne had ‘plunged a long way’, with Dev ‘insisting’ that she go to hospital, with the star left in ‘total shock’.

Dianne was diagnosed with whiplash at North London’s Barnet Hospital, before later being sent home. 

Amid the drama, caring Dianne was apparently the one who was concerned for Dev, after he was left ‘distraught’ by the whole thing.

The dancer, who is dating her partner from last year Joe Sugg, tried to make him feel better by stating that the daring life was ‘her idea’. 

The YouTube star was reportedly ‘alarmed’ after hearing news of his girlfriend’s accident. 

Dianna and Dev returned to training on Friday, with producers apparently keeping a close eye on the dancer so as to watch for any signs of delayed reaction.

The pair are expected to dance when Strictly Come Dancing returns Saturday at 7.10pm on BBC One.
