I’m a Domino’s delivery driver — people can’t believe how much I earned during my easy, 5-hour shift

She’s got receipts.

Amid an ongoing debate about tipping culture in America, a Seattle-area mom who worked as a delivery driver for Domino’s Pizza to help pay for college shocked social media by revealing just how much she was able to grab in gratuities during a typical five-hour shift.

Brooklynn Lecomte had her followers floored when she showed proof of the bonus cash she was able to pull in, detailing dollars and cents in a 2022 TikTok clip that has recently resurfaced, racking up more than 72,000 views.

As the video, entitled “How much I make in a five-hour day at Domino’s as a delivery driver” begins, Lecomte is seen in her car, decked out in her Domino’s duds, setting off for another day of work.

Throughout the day, she shows the sales slip from each delivery, along with fistfuls of cash, accounting for the extra bucks amassed at each stop.

While some tips start at just $3, Lecomte is given up to nearly $10 on other, modest orders.

By the end of the shift, she’s received “around $115,” she tells the camera.

That’s on top of her $15 per hour base salary — slightly higher than Washington’s minimum wage of $14.59 at the time the video was made.

Lecomte also said that drivers “get paid for gas as well.”

“I never expected tips,” Lecomte confessed. “It was just a nice thing when people tip. I pull in a lot of money each week. It’s worth it.”

“Any Domino’s you work at as a delivery driver you’ll make good money,” she went on to say. “Especially in bigger cities.”

Viewers were full of comments, questions and affirmations for the fast food worker.

“I work at Dominos in Kansas. This week in 3 days I made over $200 in tips,” one bragged.

“Damn, my dominos I work at isn’t that busy. I’m jealous lol,” another complained.

“My nephew is a driver he supports himself and his 3-year-old quite well,” one more chimed in.

The resurfaced clip comes as Americans find themselves embroiled in an ongoing discussion about the rise of tipping culture, as touch screens and their in-your-face tipping requests become the norm.

As more and more customers order their food through mobile apps, a recent study found that a whopping 75% of them were more likely to leave an excessive tip when paying.

In fact, popular food delivery services such as Doordash go so far as to recommend the practice, suggesting that less generous users were likely to wait much longer for their food.

Lately, there’s been a sense the tide has been turning — one report revealed the shockingly low amount most Americans are tipping at restaurants now.

And “stingy” Gen Zers could be leading the reversal — they’re said to be the worst tippers of them all.
