A bit distracted, Selena?
Selena Gomez was caught texting “cute boys” as she filmed the latest episode of her special Food Network series, “Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays.”
During Thursday’s episode, which featured her making malva pudding with professional chef Eric Adjepong, Gomez, 31, teased that she was going to set the timer “and see if any cute guys texted” her.
Although she said no one texted her, her iPhone played the sent message chime, calling her bluff.
“Sel, who are you texting?” her best friend and co-host, Raquelle Stevens, 30, immediately asked.
Gomez, knowing she had been caught, turned red and smiled.
“Look, it’s hard out there,” she reasoned before confirming she had an upcoming date later that night.
Although Stevens teased that she could probably guess who Gomez was texting — hinting that she was likely involved with someone at the time of filming — the singer and actress told her to keep it to herself.

It’s unclear when Gomez filmed the particular episode, but the playful conversation aired about two weeks after Gomez confirmed she had been dating music producer — and her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber’s pal — Benny Blanco for six months.
She revealed the news by raving about the “Lonely” hitmaker, 35, via several Instagram comments.
In one comment she left in reply to a fan, she called him her “absolute everything,” while in another comment she said he is the “best thing that’s ever happened” to her.
She also gushed that Blanco treats her “better than any human being on this planet.”
Gomez further exemplified how smitten she is with Blanco by showing off a sparkling ring that is embellished with a crystal “B” — that she wears on her left ring finger — and sharing a photo of herself getting cozy with her beau.
Then, on Dec. 15, the “Single Soon” songstress had fans talking when she posted a snapshot of her and Blanco passionately locking lips — even calling it one of her “favorite moments” from her time in New York.
This week, she gave fans insight into their romance by revealing exactly what she’s looking for in a relationship in an interview with Vogue México y Latinoamérica that took place before she publicly declared Blanco as her boyfriend.
She explained she first and foremost wants to be in a relationship that allows her to practice her self-respect as well as provide space for everyone’s feelings.
“It’s very hard to find someone who can listen to you and care about you, but I know when it happens it will be great and you will want it to be healthy,” she said.
It appears that Blanco is giving her just that!
