Fani Willis’ financial disclosure omits travel paid for by Nathan Wade

Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis’ 2022 financial disclosure makes no mention of a Miami getaway paid for by her alleged lover Nathan Wade, documents show.

A private attorney, Wade was hired by Willis in late 2021 to oversee the prosecution of former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants over allegations they interfered in Georgia’s 2020 election.

In a section of the financial disclosure that asks the DA to disclose gifts or favors valued over $100 from “prohibited sources,” Willis answered, “None,” the Daily Caller reported Thursday.

On Oct. 4, 2022, Wade paid $477.21 for an American Airlines ticket to Miami in Willis’ name, according to bank statements filed in a Cobb County, Ga., court by his estranged wife, Jocelyn Wade, as part of their divorce proceedings.

The Fulton County Code of Ethics deems that “prohibited sources” include persons “doing business with the county,” such as Wade.

The plane ticket was purchased the same day Wade made a $2,600 payment to Royal Caribbean Cruises that cost $2,600, which Jocelyn’s lawyers say was another personal trip for the prosecutor and Willis.

Wade also paid an additional $3,835 to a travel agency, Vacation Express, the following day.

None of Wade’s expenditures are listed in Willis’ ethics disclosure.

“This needs explaining,” Georgia-based criminal defense attorney and legal analyst Phil Holloway said in an X post sharing Willis’ disclosure form.

Fulton County imposes penalties which include up to a $1000 fine, a public reprimand and a recommendation to the board of commissioners for additional disciplinary action for individuals that commit an “intentional violation” of the code of ethics, such as  “furnishing of false or misleading information to the board of ethics.”

Allegations of a romance between Wade and Willis surfaced when Trump co-defendant Michael Roman asked to have the criminal charges against him dismissed on the grounds of an “improper” and “clandestine” relationship between the special prosecutor and the DA.

Wade filed for divorce on Nov. 1, 2021, one day after he was hired by Willis.

The special prosecutor has collected nearly $654,000 in legal fees since 2022 from the Fulton County DA’s Office for his work on the Trump case.

Last week, the head of the Fulton County Board of Commissioner’s audit committee, Bob Ellis, demanded that Willis provide information related to her appointment of Wade as part of a probe into the potential “misuse” of taxpayer funds.

The Fulton County DA’s office did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
