Jim Harbaugh wants to live in RV early in Chargers tenure in bizarre plan

Chargers fans in Southern California, keep an eye out for Jim Harbaugh and his RV in a trailer park near you.

The Chargers new head coach revealed to reporters during his introductory press conference that he was looking forward to driving his RV down to the Golden State and camping out in it for a few months before moving into a house.

“I want to drive my RV out and go to a trailer park down by the water or by Disneyland, the two that I’ve researched that are close to the facility,” Harbaugh said. “I want to Jim Rockford it for the next couple months until we move to the new facility.

“I have that thought going through my head.”

Harbaugh has already told his wife, Sarah, who appears to have signed off on the unique idea.

The former Michigan coach was officially introduced to the media on Thursday as the new head coach of the Chargers, which is being viewed as a possible franchise-altering hire.

Harbaugh said the expectation was “multiple championships” for the Chargers.

“We’re going to be humble,” Harbaugh said at the presser. “Humble and hungry. But that’s our goal. Our goal is to treat people in a first-class manner and to win multiple championships.”

The Chargers have made just one Super Bowl appearance in the franchise’s history — 1995 — which means there will be a lot of work for the team’s new coach.

Los Angeles is coming off a 5-12 season in 2023.

“I report to the Spanos family and ownership,” Harbaugh said, per the team website. “I also feel like I report to the fans. I report to the players. I’m accountable to all those in the organization. Going to work at it, you know? That’s the mission and that’s the goal.”

He added: “I’m not going to be shy about stating it: we want to be known as world champions.”
