Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright drop cake at son’s 3rd birthday: ‘A representation of their relationship’

What’s broken can’t be fixed.

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright put on a united front on Saturday as they celebrated their son Cruz’s third birthday, but things quickly went downhill when they dropped the birthday cake.

In clips shared on their respective Instagram Stories, Taylor and Cartwright — who was holding their son in her arms — stood side-by-side behind the three-tier cake while guests sang happy birthday.

However, when the two leaned over to blow out the candles, the table gave away and the cake tumbled to the floor.

While everyone around them gasped in shock, Cartwright, 35, laughed off the mishap. Taylor, 44, on the other hand, was less than amused as he stared at the destroyed cake.

“Never a dull moment,” the mom of one captioned the video on her Instagram Story. “Just our luck.”

In another video, several people attempted to put the cake back together.

Fans got a kick out of the clip as their “Valley” co-star Zack Wickham shared it on TikTok.

“This just got so much funnier when I realized it’s Jax and Brittany,” one person wrote.

“The cakes is a representation of their relationship,” another added.

“That was 100% Jax’s fault,” one quipped as another chimed in, “Jax always messing something up.”

Cartwright and Taylor’s family fun day was nearly perfect as they posted snippets of the dinosaur-themed “3-Rex” party on their Instagram Stories Saturday.

The party was hosted at a trampoline park with several kids jumping around with Cruz.

The estranged couple even got their feet dirty as they bounced on trampolines with their son.

Other snaps from Cruz’s big day showed dinosaur-crafted cookies and a balloon backdrop with a sign that read “3-REX: On The Loose.”

On Friday, the “Vanderpump Rules” alums celebrated Cruz’s actual birthday at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, Calif.

Sharing a snap of herself and the toddler eating chicken tenders and fries, Cartwright wrote, “All of his favorite things for his bday.”

During a February episode of their “When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany” podcast, Cartwright announced that she and Taylor had separated and were living in different houses.

“Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she said.

Cartwright — who wed her ex in June 2019 — previously told Page Six that their lack of intimacy and his refusal to go to therapy played a role in their split.
