The former Secretary of State for Barack Obama, John Kerry, who has been infamously lying since his formative years as a politician, beginning with his lies about Vietnam, decided to trumpet one of his biggest whoppers: that Israel doesnât want peace with the Palestinians.
Recorded last year in Dubai, Kerry lauded the Palestinians, gushing, âThe Palestinians have done an extraordinary job of remaining committed to nonviolence. When the intifada took place [in 2015] they delivered non-violence in the West Bank.â He added, âThis is overlooked by the general [Israeli] populations because it is not a topic of discussion. Why? Because the majority of the cabinet currently in the Israeli government has publicly declared they are not ever for a Palestinian state.â
Kerry continued, âIf you see 40,000 kids marching up to the wall every day with signs saying, âGive us our rights,â I mean I donât think Palestine is going to be immune forever to the civil rights movements that have swept other nations in the world and somehow Israelâs ignoring this. Thatâs not leadership. ⌠If you donât have leaders who donât want to make peace, if the equation doesnât change, Iâll be amazed if within the next 10 years if we donât see some young [Palestinian] leader come along who says, âWe have tried non-violence for the last 30 years and look, it hasnât gotten us anything.ââ
The recordings were published earlier this week by Channel 10, an Israeli TV news station.
Kerry has hated Israel for years; in 2014, speaking to the Trilateral Commission a few days after PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas signed a unity deal with the murderous Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror groups, Kerry said that if Israel didnât make a deal with the Palestinians, it would either cease to be a Jewish state or become âan apartheid state.â That ignored the facts on the ground showing the burgeoning Jewish birth rate obviated that possibility as well as the fact that if any areas should be labeled apartheid, they would be the Palestinian areas, which are Judenrein.
As far as the Israelis not wanting peace with the Palestinians, a canard that has been around for decades, that is belied by the fact that Israel offered to make concessions to the Palestinians for decades, gave back the Sinai for peace with Egypt, and exited Gaza in the hope that the Palestinians would make peace.
In February 2017, Michael Herzog, a member of various Israeli negotiating teams since 1993, pointed out that talks between the Israelis and Palestinians broke down in 2013-14 because of Kerry and the intransigence of the Palestinians.

⌠each time Israel offered concessions, Palestinian leaders would respond by demanding more and taking provocative actions. For example, in hopes of keeping the PA at the negotiating table, Israel at one point offered to give the Palestinians partial control over some sections of Area C â the portion of Judea and Samaria that is under Israeli control. The very next morning, the PA signed a unity pact with the terrorist Hamas regime in Gaza. On another occasion, Secretary Kerry hoped to convince the PA to extend the negotiations by pressing Israel to release an additional 400 imprisoned terrorists. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attempted to convince his reluctant cabinet to agree to the demand. Yet before the cabinet meeting had even concluded, the PA announced that it was asking 15 international agencies to recognize a âstate of Palestineâ â violating the conditions that Kerry had set for the talks.
And remember what Wikileaks reported in 2010, as reported by Foreign Policy? As Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman, Kerry told Qatari leaders that the Golan Heights should be returned to Syria and that a Palestinian capital should be established in East Jerusalem.
Returning the Golan Heights, as anyone knows who has visited Israel, would be suicidal for the Jewish state, As far as establishing a Palestinian capital in Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the Jewish people, that is about as nasty as you can get.
Kerry has been an inveterate liar for over four decades. This lie is one of his most vicious.
