Ninth Undercover Planned Parenthood Video Features Graphic Abortion Details

Ninth Undercover Planned Parenthood Video Features Graphic Abortion Details and Claim About the ‘Really Weird Thing’ Surrounding Fetal Tissue ResearchA pro-life, medical ethics group has released the ninth video in its ongoing undercover series purporting to show the sale of aborted fetal body parts, with one secretly recorded subject seemingly alleging that some clinic staff in the past were potentially compensated for exclusive access to tissue procurement.

Cate Dyer, founder of StemExpress, once worked at Advanced Bioscience Resources, a research group that is reported to have long ties to Planned Parenthood, told actors posing as fetal tissue buyers that some clinics had staff members who were being paid by Advanced Bioscience Resources, according to the Center for Medical Progress.

The allegation is that the pay afforded to those staff members allowed for an exclusive right to harvest fetal tissue at specific clinics, though Dyer said that she wasn’t sure if this arrangement unfolded at Planned Parenthood clinics.

“Some staff – not that I know so much on the Planned Parenthood side, but I wouldn’t be surprised – there are some staff in the past that have been on the payroll with ABR,” Dyer said. “For a long time there were certain clinics that because they had paid advisors that were sitting on boards for these clinics, that were also an advisor to ABR, you were just never going to go anywhere with them, you know what I mean?”

At another point in the video, though, Dyer says that Advanced Bioscience Resources “wasn’t paying any of the clinics” for procurement.

Watch the video below (caution: disturbing themes and content):

Another portion of the clip features an undercover conversation with Perrin Larton, procurement manager at Advanced Bioscience Resources, who explained that fetal tissue has widely gone under the radar over the years.

“The really weird thing is embryonic [stem cell research] — there’s still a lot of controversy about that,” she said. “But then fetal kind of got lost in the mix … it was never outlawed.”

Larton went on to describe some of the graphic details surrounding how fetuses end up after an abortion procedure.

“The abdomen is always ripped open,” she said, explaining — seemingly contrary to what was gleaned from past videos — that abortion doctors do not always adjust the procedure to allow for specific harvesting of organs.

In some cases, she said that fetuses in certain abortion procedures “just fell out,” though Larton said that the majority of fetuses are not intact.

“I literally have had women come in and they’ll go in the [operating room] and they’re back out in three minutes, and I’m going, ‘What’s going on?’” she said. “‘Oh yeah, the fetus was already in the vaginal canal whenever we put her in the stirrups, it just fell out.’”

In yet another conversation, Dr. Katherine Sheehan, former medical director of Planned Parenthood Pacific Southwest in San Diego, California, said that she had been working with Advanced Bioscience Resources for a decade.

“We’ve been using them for over 10 years, a really long time, so we’re just kind of renegotiated the contract,” she said.

This is a breaking news story. Stay tuned for updates.
