TAKE ACTION! August Election Critical for Florida Kids

Children stop common core

There’s a lot of focus on the November election.

But the future of Florida’s kids will be directly influenced by an election on August 30th.

Only YOU can protect your children’s or grandchildren’s future.

Public education (AKA “Government Schools”) is a disaster. The U.S. has slipped from the top 10 internationally to the mid 30’s in reading and math. In national ACT tests, Florida has steadily declined and is now 45th in the nation’s failing K-12 Public School system.Don’t waste another school year. You can and must act now! Here are a couple ways you can make a difference:

Participate in School Board Elections

General elections for Florida school boards will be held on August 30, 2016. These elections are referred to as primary elections in Florida but are functionally general elections; if no candidate wins a majority of votes cast at the “primary” election, a “general” election is held on November 8, 2016, effectively serving as a runoff election.

Your responsibility: VOTE INFORMED! Seriously vet your candidates. Here is a questionnaire you can use to objectively evaluate the candidates:
